The goal of this project was to make a T-shirt for the Resident Assistants of the East Tower, South Tower, and Purin Residence Halls of UWM. The client requested a design that included constellations of astrological signs and the slogan for the RA staff that year. They also requested that I use blues and purples for the color palette.
I started by trying out different iterations of the layout with just the wording and constellations. The client then requested I include illustrations of the residence halls, use the UWM brand colors, and change the shirt color to black.
As a former resident of the South Tower Residence hall, I wanted to make sure that the buildings really stood out in this piece. I created bold illustrations of the buildings and I arranged them underneath a starry sky with the names of the Residence Halls and the slogan below the illustration.
